Simple! Give us a call at 586-636-6941 or email crysta@jackpinewellnessonmicrosoft.com. We will ask you a few questions to ensure that we are right for you. We will request insurance information, as well as a brief description of why you would like therapy. Then, we will book your first appointment with you.
What can I expect from my therapist?
You can expect your therapist to inform you of every step you have to take when starting the therapeutic journey. Then, after the first session or two, your therapist will provide you with options for which treatment is right for you. Based on what you would like to do, your therapist will help you outline a treatment plan that best meets your needs and goals. This plan will build on your strengths and include any supports you have or wish to have.
What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy is what you make it. The therapy you will receive from Jack Pine Wellness will follow an evidence-based approach. However, each client has different needs and we will tailor your therapist to fit you. You will work with your therapist to determine how you would like each session to look. Therapy will have a beginning, middle and end. Meaning, you will start by providing history to your therapist and a description of why you came to therapy. Based on your goals for therapy, you and your therapist will build a treatment plan with discharge in mind. We usually start with the question of: What will life look like when you know that you are done with therapy?
How long are my sessions?
Session time can vary based on the client needs and therapy model selected for treatment. However, most sessions run from 38-60 minutes.
